“Work Ready” Professional Empowerment Programme

Aiming to promote lifelong learning and enhance youth employability, the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation supported the “Work Ready” programme, a dynamic skills accelerator designed exclusively for unemployed young people, graduates of formal Vocational Education and Training institutions (Vocational High Schools, Apprentice Vocational Schools, Vocational Training Schools, Vocational Training Institutes). The Programme aims to facilitate their successful integration into the ever-evolving labour market by leveraging modern digital tools and fostering synergies with the corporate sector. In the framework of the Programme, participants received, among other things, training in specialised modules tailored to the needs of their chosen professional fields, personalised mentoring and career-guidance sessions with experienced professionals, access to modern CVs, practical skills-development workshops, and networking opportunities with potential employers. Upon completion of the Programme, participants were empowered both professionally and personally, having enhanced their communication and social skills and gained greater self-confidence for their integration into the labour market through mock interviews.

• 26 individuals participated in the Programme, receiving 30 hours of training delivered by 15 instructors and career counsellors.
