Aiming to contribute to a quality upgrade of the educational process within the context of digital transformation, the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation supported for the second consecutive year the “Teaching for the Future” programme, a teacher training initiative for secondary school educators, implemented by the Heritage Management Organization (HERITΛGE) in collaboration with the American Councils for International Education, with the participation of Greek alumni of the “Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX)” programme who have studied in U.S. schools. The aim of the Programme was to cultivate modern soft skills through the use of digital tools, enabling teachers to apply their newly acquired knowledge to enrich the educational process within the classroom. The Programme was implemented online, allowing teachers from across Greece to familiarise themselves with new interactive and dynamic learning methodologies, as well as innovative and user-friendly technological tools, in order to develop four key soft skills: collaboration, creative thinking, communication, and public speaking. Within the framework of the Programme, participants also received a list of online tutorials (instructional videos and guides) for the tools they were introduced to, so that they could refer back to them for further information and share them with their colleagues.
136 educators participated and completed the 4-seminar series held in 2024.
“Heartfelt congratulations! I had a wonderful time during the seminars.”
“I am completely satisfied and would gladly attend another seminar.”
“It was a wonderful experience; the students who participated in the FLEX programme shared their experiences in a very vivid way, the instructors were excellent, and the interaction with other colleagues was extremely valuable.”
“An excellent initiative, highly useful and truly insightful presentation!”
