The International Summer School at the University of Trento is simultaneously a school, teaching contemporary theories and methods, and a workshop, wherein participants, both faculty and students, develop research and ideas. 

The 14th International Summer School, entitled "Modularity and Design for Innovation", was held from july 1st to July 12th, 2013 at Trento Hotel Villa Madruzzzo. This years programme combined a variety of disciplines, such as product design, economics and strategy, while focusing on the ways in which design principles shape, and are shaped by innovation.
