The “House of Arsis” is the most recent structure of the NGO “ARSIS” that operates in Oreokastro of Thessaloniki. It is a guesthouse for short–term accommodation for minors and more specifically children and adolescents that are victims of negligence, abuse, trafficking as well as children in danger due to family situation or social and financial circumstances.

The John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation, in support of this initiative, partially covered the operating expenses of the guesthouse so that it can continue its important work. The aim of the guesthouse is, on the one hand, to immediately provide shelter to a child in danger and, on the other hand, to explore and find a more appropriate and permanent solution for the care of the child. During the stay, great attention is given by the scientific personnel, to meeting the emotional and psychological needs of these children and to properly prepare the smooth transition of each child to the family or other child protection forms (foster families, institutions etc.).
