Points of Support

Programme supporting innovative social initiatives and capacity building of civil society organisations.

The Points of Support Programme is addressed to Greek private non-profit and volunteer organisations, as well as social cooperative enterprises. The Programme aims, on the one hand, to support original small-scale actions with maximum social impact for the benefit of vulnerable social groups and, on the other hand, to empower and build the capacity of the above civil society organisations.

The "Points of Support" Programme is a collaborative initiative of the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation, the TIMA Charitable Foundation, the Hellenic Hope charity organisation, the Captain Vassilis & Carmen Constantakopoulos Foundation, the A. G. Leventis Foundation, and the Bodossaki Foundation.

Currently (2018 - 2019) the 3rd round cycle of the Programme is being implemented, in which 24 actions have been granted an amount of up to €5,000 and are implemented by 34 organisations, 11 of which participate in the actions as partner organisations. The actions fall under one of the following thematic areas as  defined by the Programme's respective donors.

1. “Social integration of people with disabilities” (John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation)

2. “Support of the elderly” (TIMA Charitable Foundation)

3. “Support of children”

     a. “Child protection” (Hellenic Hope)

     b. “Children and health” (Captain Vassilis and Carmen Constantakopoulos Foundation)

c.“Children and the environment” (A. G. Leventis Foundation)

In addition, the selected organisations will also take part in free capacity building activities, which will be funded and implemented by the Bodossaki Foundation, through Social Dynamo.
