COLLABORATIVE INITIATIVES

33 projects have been selected to receive grants under the eighth round of the “Points of Support” programme for 2025-2026.

 

The eighth round of the Programme, which started in 2015 and has to date funded a total of 191 projects with more than 104,000 beneficiaries, is a collaborative initiative of the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation, the TIMA Charitable Foundation, the Bodossaki Foundation, the Captain Vassilis & Carmen Constantakopoulos Foundation, the A. G. Leventis Foundation, the A.C. Laskaridis Foundation, the Costas M. Lemos Foundation, the Hellenic Initiatve Canada, the Athina I. Martinou Foundation and the Helidoni Foundation. The "Points of Support" Programme has been coordinated by the Bodossaki Foundation since 2022.

The goal of the Programme is, on the one hand, to support original small-scale projects with maximum social impact and, on the other hand, to reinforce the infrastructures of and foster capacity building for Greek civil society organisations with a view to further enhance the development, effectiveness, and sustainability of their work.

The 33 projects that have been selected* - out of a total of 190 applications - will receive funding amounting to ten thousand euro (€10,000) each; the projects, which fall within a wide range of thematic areas identified by the Programme funders, will have a duration of up to 8 months and will be implemented by 33 Civil Society Organisations, along with 4 partner organisations. In addition, within the framework of the Programme, the selected organisations will take part in free capacity building activities, designed, funded and implemented by Social Dynamo, the NGO hub of the Bodossaki Foundation.

The full list of the organizations selected for funding, categorized by thematic area, follows below:

I. Social Integration of People with Disabilities (John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation)

  1. Interdisciplinary Network of Special & Intercultural Education “Include” – Developing Collaboration Skills and Supporting Professional Inclusion in the IT Sector for Young People on the Autism Spectrum, in collaboration with Ortem Hellas S.A.
  2. Dreams of Art – Hands that speak, Souls that listen. An artistic collaboration between Deaf and hearing individuals
  3. “Rodavgi” Association of Parents, Guardians and Friends of People with Intellectual Disabilities – I am a gardener! Making Use of Easy-to-Read Language for the Education and Employment Inclusion of People with Intellectual Disabilities
  4. Tandem NGO – Institutions Are Not the Answer. A project to empower and raise awareness of people living in institutions in Greece, and to promote deinstitutionalisation
  5. Off Stream – Non Profit Company – Meeting Points: Art Studios. An initiative for people with and without sensory disabilities aiming at equal participation, interaction, and the cultivation of a shared space of communication through the experience of art
  6. Prosxima Contemporary Dance Company – A State Of Dance (ASOD): Encouraging Inclusion in Education
  7. Monokyklo NPO – Circus All Together. Making Circus arts accessible to people with disabilities
  8. Edu4all – The Power Within Me, a digital skills and personal empowerment initiative, in collaboration with the Day Care Centre for People with Disabilities of the Municipality of Syros – Ermoupolis

ΙΙ. Support for the Elderly (Donor: TIMA Charitable Foundation)

  1. COMM'ON – Shall We Play Basketball? An initiative highlighting the role of basketball in promoting physical and mental health and enhancing social participation among older adults.
  2. Cultural Association of Megara “Theognis” – Digital Bridges for the Elderly
  3. Center for the Study of Crime (CESC) – NIREAS Thread of the Elderly: Information, Safety and Support. A pilot community-based programme for the prevention of victimisation and for the empowerment of the Elderly. 

III. Children and Health (Donor: Captain Vassilis and Carmen Constantakopoulos Foundation)

  1. Eyes of Light NPO – Arts in Health HUB – LIGHT: Photography as Support, in collaboration with Merimna (Care for children and families experiencing illness and death)
  2. AristoTales – Urban, Cultural and Educational Non-Profit Organisation – AristoKids: From the Plate to Self-Esteem
  3. Poreia Ygeias – Social Cooperative Enterprise – Digital Liberation: A prevention project aimed at tackling digital addiction. It includes hands-on workshops for students, educational seminars for teachers, and the creation of informative materials for both parents and educators.

IV. Alleviation of Poverty and the Food Crisis (Donor: The Hellenic Initiative Canada) 

  1. Estia – Centre for Social Solidarity and Food Support of Kalloni  – Opening Our Arms – Supporting – Nourishing
  2. Cultural Association of Selianitika “Helios” – KOINO-DRO 50: Social empowerment, psychosocial support and networking for unemployed individuals and families in crisis in the Municipal Unit of Sympoliteia and Erineos. 

V. Environmental Protection: 

a.  Protection of the Flora and Fauna in the Urban and Peri-urban Environment (Donor: A. G. Leventis Foundation)

  1. ARION – Cetaceans Care Center – CETA RESCUE II: Strengthening the Cetacean Stranding Response Network through the implementation of a pilot experiential training programme for volunteers
  2. Action for Wildlife – Association for the Study, Care, and Reintegration of Wild Animals and the Conservation of Biodiversity – Wild Fauna and Humans: A Relationship Under Observation

b. Protection of Aquatic Ecosystems: Lakes, Rivers and Wetlands (Donor: A. C. Laskaridis Charitable Foundation

  1. Greek Eco Project non-profit environmental organisation – Blue Argosaronic 2025: An initiative for coastal and underwater clean-up initatives in Aegina and the neighboring uninhabited islands of the Argosaronic Gulf, aiming to remove marine polution and raise public awareness.

  2. Oceanides – Institute for Marine Research and Education – Posidonia Sea Gardens: Students from environmental school groups “adopt” Posidonia seagrass meadows and, under expert guidance, take part in recording, mapping, and monitoring their ecological condition.

c. Protection of Forest and Other Terrestrial Ecosystems (Donor: Costas M. Lemos Foundation)

  1. Community of Trees – Ecosystem Creation and Regeneration through natural cultivation and assisted tree planting.
  2. Cecropia Hub NPO – Forest Education: Young Ambassadors in Schools
  3. Terra Pindus –PINDOS: Restoration and promotion through the historical hiking trail Delphi – Holy Monastery of Prophet Elias – Amfissa, part of the route of the long-distance trail across Pindos, Pindus Trail Delphi–Prespes
  4. Mali Mali Ripesi – Water Paths: Promotion of natural and cultural heritage through the mapping and signage of a trail connecting the area’s historic fountains, as well as through educational awareness-raising activities for the sustainable management of the Community’s water

 VI. Social Innovation in Small Seaside Local Communities (Donor: Athina I. Martinou Foundation)

  1. Salvia Burn Association NPO –Shield of Life – Safe Islands: Burn Prevention, First Aid, and Health Empowerment on Small Islands
  2. Youth Line Greece AMKE – Opening Paths of Resilience Together in Samos
  3. Andros Research Center – Soil, Stone & Water: Our Stories
  4. Anafi Cultural Events – Show Me Your Place: A participatory artistic research action activating the community of Anafi, highlighting collective memory and promoting the sustainability of its cultural identity.
  5. Citizen Association of Pserimos – Trails of Pserimos, in collaboration with Oceanides – Institute for Marine Research and Education
  6. Places & Traces Non-Profit Civil Law Company – We Stay in Lemnos! A new perspective on everyday life on the island

VII. "Sustainable Cities and Communities" (Donor: Helidoni Foundation)

  1. Art Hub Athens – Sustainable Art, Living Communities: When school becomes a workshop for sustainability and artistic activity
  2. Society for the Study of Problems of Kozani – Meta-Landscape: Culture and Sustainable Development in the post-lignite era of Western Macedonia, in collaboration with the Kozani Chamber of Commerce and Industry
  3. Astylab NPO – Plan A(thens): A Collective Vision for a Sustainable, Resilient, and Human-Centered Capital City

 

Note: The final selection of the organisations to be funded will be confirmed in September 2025, upon completion of the contracting process for the above 37 organisations by the Programme’s funders, who reserve the right to replace pre-selected organisations that do not meet the relevant criteria of said process.
