CERN: A deep dive

This activity, involving the disciplines of Natural Sciences, Language, Mathematics, Social and Political Education and accompanied by actions related to the fields of New Technologies, Visual Arts and History of Sciences, aimed to initiate pupils in the scientific way of thinking, to familiarise them with CERN, the largest experimental nuclear research center, and to stimulate their interest in natural sciences. With actions designed in accordance with teaching approaches appropriate for the particular subject (e.g. text-centered approach to language, problem solving in Mathematics, application of the scientific method in Physics, etc.), always adapted to the age of the pupils, the activity became a first step for children to evolve into literate and informed citizens.
