Points of Support

Programme supporting innovative social initiatives and capacity building of civil society organisations.

The ''Points of Support'' Programme is addressed to Greek private non-profit and volunteer organisations, as well as social cooperative enterprises. The goal of the Programme is, on the one hand, to support original small-scale projects with maximum social impact and, on the other hand, to reinforce the infrastructures of and foster capacity building for Greek civil society organisations with a view to further enhance the development, effectiveness, and sustainability of their work.

In the period 2024-2025, the implementation of the 7th round of the "Points of Support" Programme is underway, a collaborative initiative of the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation, the KIKPE Public Benefit Foundation for Social and Cultural Work, the Captain Vassilis & Carmen Constantakopoulos Foundation, the A. G. Leventis Foundation, the A.C. Laskaridis Foundation, the Costas M. Lemos Foundation, the Hellenic Initiative Canada, the Athina I. Martinou Foundation and the Helidoni Foundation. The new round of the Programme is coordinated by the Bodossaki Foundation.

In the context of the Programme’s 6th funding round, which has been completed, 38 actions were supported with an amount of up to €5,000 each and were implemented by 49 organisations, 12 out of which participated in the projects as partner organisations. The projects had a duration of up to 6 months and fell under one of the following issue areas: 

Ι. “Social integration of people with disabilities” (John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation)

ΙΙ. “Support for the elderly” (TIMA Charitable Foundation)

ΙΙΙ. “Prevention and Health Promotion for Adults” (Social and Cultural Affairs Welfare Foundation – KIKPE)

IV. “Children and Health” (Captain Vassilis and Carmen Constantakopoulos Foundation)

V. “Alleviation of Poverty and the Food Crisis” (The Hellenic Initiative Canada) 

VI. Environmental Protection: 

    a.  “Protection of the Flora and Fauna in the Urban and Peri-urban Environment” (A. G. Leventis Foundation)

    b. “Protection of Aquatic Ecosystems: Lakes, Rivers and Wetlands” (A. C. Laskaridis Charitable Foundation)

    c. “Protection of Forest and Other Terrestrial Ecosystems” (Costas M. Lemos Foundation)

 VII. “Social Innovation in Small Seaside Local Communities” (Athina I. Martinou Foundation)

In addition, the selected organisations will also take part in free capacity building activities, which will be funded and implemented by the Bodossaki Foundation, through Social Dynamo

A review of the results of the 6nd round of the "Points of Support" programme in support of small scale and maximum social impact actions for the benefit of vulnerable social groups. Out of a total of 150 applications 38 projects were selected, which were implemented by 49 Civil Society organisations in Greece in the period 2023-2024.

A review of the results of the 5th round of the "Points of Support" programme, which was implemented in the period 2022-2023. Altogether, more than 9,500 people benefited from the 5th round of the Programme, which supported 30 small-scale actions implemented by 45 organisations across Greece.

A review of the results of the 3rd round of the "Points of Support" programme which was implemented in the period 2018-2019. Altogether, more than 10,169 people benefited from the 3rd round of the Programme, which supported 24 small-scale actions across Greece.

A review of the results of the 2nd round of the "Points of Support" programme in support of small scale and maximum social impact actions for the benefit of vulnerable social groups. Altogether, more than 8,700 people benefited from the 2nd round of the Programme, which supported 19 small-scale actions across Greece and was implemented in the period 2017-2018.
