The Olympic Preparation Scholarship Programme of the A. G. Leventis Foundation has become a well-established institution as it has been supporting since 1999, for the 27th consecutive year, athletes from Greece and Cyprus during their preparation for participation in the Olympic Games, providing incentives for distinction in sports, through Olympic Preparation Scholarships.
The Programme is co-funded since 2020 by the Hellenic Olympic Committee (with the aim of supporting athletes representing all the Olympic Sports Federations of the country with at least one scholarship) and supported by the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation (since 2017) and the Cyprus Olympic Committee (since 2022), aiming collectively to foster Olympic values, the love of sports, and the pursuit of excellence.
The four organisations will award 60 scholarships, of €4,000 each, to athletes from Greece and Cyprus who compete in individual Olympic sports included in the programme of the Summer and Winter Olympic Games.
