Revival of the traditional itinerary | Neraida Floating Museum
DATE
05 Oct '13

Seven decades after it was built and sixty years after its first trip in the Argosaronic Gulf, the "Neraida" ship returned to its port, this time as a floating museum. The ship –which is of Italian design and was built in 1939 in Fiume (today Rijeka), on the coast of Croatia– has been completely reconstructed and transformed into a modern floating museum; on 14 September 2013, it set sail to return to its traditional destinations, i.e. Spetses, Ermioni, Hydra, Poros, Methana and Aegina. It stayed in each port for two to three days, thus giving the opportunity to approximately 8,000 people –students, locals and visitors of these regions– to visit its areas. The journey ended on 29 September 2013.

The ship's itinerary:

  • Spetses, 14-17 September
  • Hermioni, 17-19 September
  • Hydra, 20-21 September
  • Poros, 22-24 September
  • Methana, 24-25 September
  • Aegina, 26-29 September
