The International Summer School at the University of Trento is simultaneously a school, teaching contemporary theories and methods, and a workshop, wherein participants, both faculty and students, develop research and ideas.
The 11th Trento Summer School in "Macroeconomics and Financial Crises", took place between July 11th and July 23th, 2010, at the Centro Congressi Panorama, Trento. This year's course has focused on macroeconomic crises, such as the recent global financial crash, and their implications for economic theory. During the lectures the students discussed the history of financial crises in different countries and eras, explored existing economic theories and their linkange to the causes and consequences of crises and analyzed the role that economic policy and financial regulation.
