Apostoli - Philanthropic Organisation of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens

The non-governmental organisation “Apostoli” was established in 2010, on the initiative of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens, and has been acting on the areas of social care, health, education and culture. The organisation’s wide range of activities include the establishment of social structures across Greece, the organisation of humanitarian aid missions abroad, as well as the implementation of educational and cultural programmes.

The John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation, aiming to enhance the work of "Apostoli" and its vision to develop effective interventions and relief mechanisms, continues to support the operation of the Social Grocery in Kallithea, Attiki, which was inaugurated in 2012. The Social Grocery, under the name “Apostoli Agapis” (meaning Love mission), covers the basic needs of families in need, whose members don’t have insurance.
