Establishment of a website

The Capodistrias Museum - Capodistrian Studies Centre, established in 1981, is the first and only museum in Greece that is exclusively dedicated to the life and work of Ioannis Capodistrias. It thus operates on the one hand as a vehicle for preservation of the memory and projection of the multifarious activity of the first Governor of Greece  and on the other as a landmark directly related to an important chapter in the modern history of our country.

The museum is in the form of a non-profit organization and is managed by a Council consisting of the respective chairpersons of the three historically important cultural associations of Corfu: the Corfu Reading Society, the Philharmonic Society of Corfu and the Society of Corfiot Studies.

Through its programme for the support of Scientific Societies the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation is financing the establishment of a modern website compiling all the information about the Museum’s scholarly activity, the Capodistrias Digital Archive, the Collection, the educational programme, and will keep the user informed of new activity and functions as well as providing information for a visit to the Museum.
