Emerging from grant-making trends and particularly critical social welfare gaps, targeted initiatives are designed so as to:
1) boost impact pertaining to a certain social demographic (prisoners/IV drug users/unaccompanied minors) or social problem (family poverty/unemployment/hospital inefficiency)
2) foster cooperation between organisations/leaders within those issue areas and
3) facilitate greater learning within the particular set of generally interdependent Issue Areas. These initiatives are inter-relationally monitored and evaluated, meaning that they will constantly be developed, altered, terminated or scaled up, however within an impact oriented framework so that outcomes can grow cumulatively.
