Collaboration for the donation of vehicles for immediate healthcare provision
National Emergency Aid Centre (EKAV)
2014
Aiming to upgrade public healthcare services, the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation, in collaboration with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, funded the purchase of five ambulances and three small rapid response vehicles, in order to be utilised for medical emergencies by the Headquarters of the National Emergency Aid Centre (EKAV). The new vehicles were placed under the operational management of EKAV for the coverage of basic needs across Greece and the modernisation of the immediate pre-hospital care system provided to all citizens in both urban and rural areas.
