The Inclusion & Accessibility issue area focuses on the promotion of awareness regarding disability throughout Greece, the increase and improvement of social service provision for people with disabilities, the support for inclusion initiatives for the disabled community as well as the research and development of/for service providers/users.
Inclusion is the primary driving force and end-impact sought in our disability grants. We are looking to encourage active citizenship and participation to remove barriers to social exclusion. Innovative, cost-effective solutions that promote accessibility or inclusion, particularly those which can be brought to scale are of particular interest. Moreover, the Foundation has undertaken a nationwide, longitudinal mapping of disability service providers, public, private and voluntary in order to create greater ease of access to specialised information, available services as well as the creation of an evidence based funding framework.
