Since 2008, John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation has included in its activities the financing of scientific studies of one year duration through the program named “Scientific Projects”. This initiative mainly aims to strengthen the research activity in Greece in a wide range of fields of knowledge and to promote collaborations between higher educational...

institutions in Greece and abroad. In this context, the Foundation announced a public call once a year, indicating the terms and conditions of participation. 

In 2015 the 26 selected projects mark the ending of the 8-year “Scientific Projects” Programme cycle. The funding of science and research shall not cease, rather will be implemented through new programmes to be announced by the Foundation.
