4th Conference on Integrated History and Philosophy of Science - &HPS4
Department of Philosophy and History of Science, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens
The Department of Philosophy and History of Science, University of Athens, received its first students in 1994 and as part of its academic and research activities it hosts the 4th Conference on Integrated History and Philosophy of Science - &HPS4 from 15 to 18 March 2012.
What gives Integrated History and Philosophy of Science - HPS its distinctive character is the conviction that the understanding of science can be pursued by dual, interdependent means. This duality may be localized in a single work. Or it may be distributed across many works and many scholars, with parts locally devoted just to historical or philosophical analysis.
John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation supports the conference, which hosted numerous scholars from around the world. Visit the conference's website, for further information.

Previous &HPS conferences have been hosted in by the Center for Philosophy of Science, University of Pittsburgh, the History and Philosophy of Science Graduate Program at University of Notre Dame and the Department of History and Philosophy of Science at Indiana University, Bloomington.
