Public Call for one-year research projects for the year 2013

The John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation invites all interested parties to submit proposals regarding the programme ‘Scientific Projects’, for original research projects during the year 2013.

Applicants may be researchers from all scientific fields categorised as follows:


1.Social Sciences and Humanities

2.Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Information and Communication, Engineering, Universe and Earth Sciences

3.Life Sciences

Terms and Conditions

  • The proposal must be submitted by a research group with one project coordinator. Each team must consist of 2-5 members, including the coordinator.
  • The proposal must not be part of a doctoral dissertation or postgraduate programme thesis of a team member or the coordinator.
  • Coordinators and members may belong to only one research group and each group may submit only one proposal.


Submission

Proposals may only be submitted electronically from June 14th until June 28th 2012, via the Online Submission System at the Foundation's website.


Funding

The funding of each project will be based on an analytical budget, submitted along with all the other data required by the application. Maximum funding per research project may not exceed the sum of twelve thousand Euros (€12,000), which will include all types of deductions, taxes, dues etc.

Submission Period Opens:

Thursday June 14th, 2012, at 9:00 (Athens time)

Submission Period Deadline:

Thursday June 28th, 2012 at 13:00 (Athens time)

Announcement of Results:

Wednesday October 31st, 2012

Projects Duration

January 2nd – December 2nd, 2013
