One of the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation΄s fundamental initiatives, in accordance with its statutory mission, is the creation and preservation of a systematic and complete archive covering the life and manifold entrepreneurial and public benefit activities of John S. Latsis. This project was initiated in 2005 and involves the collection of a variety of archival material, including photographs, videos and, both business and personal correspondence.  The entire material, which spans a period of over five decades, has been digitized and now constitutes an integrated, well-structured electronic archive that is easily manageable and protected from the ravages of time. Apart from the considerable existing material, the archive is also enriched with important information collected through interviews with politicians, entrepreneurs, business executives, friends and members of John S. Latsis΄ family.

A part of the John S. Latsis Archive will be exhibited onboard the M/V Neraida, a floating Business History Museum, which will be inaugurated in 2010. The passenger ship NERAIDA, currently being refurbished, was a particularly important ship, both in John Latsis’s business life and in the history of Greek shipping and domestic tourism.
